Stakeholder and Partner Engagement Officer

Job Description

As the Stakeholder and Partner Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for building relationships with potential stakeholders, ensuring our database is up-to-date, and following up on leads to maximize our outreach. Knowledge of CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, will be a significant advantage in this role.

This role will be based between Bertha House in Mowbray and Bertha Retreat at the Boschendal wine farm in Franchoek, therefore the successful candidate should be mobile with a valid driver's license and a reliable car. This role reports to Director: Marketing and Communications.

Note: this is a 1-year contract with a possibility of renewal subject to funding and performance


Roles and Responsibilities

Stakeholder Building

  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to attract new customers to Bertha Retreat.
  • Identify and engage with potential stakeholders through networking, events, and targeted outreach.
  • Grow relationships with existing stakeholders to encourage referrals and repeat business.

Database Management

  • Maintain and update our customer database, ensuring all information is accurate and current.
  • Utilize Salesforce or other CRM tools to track leads, manage interactions, and analyze customer data.
  • Implement processes for lead tracking and follow-up to maximize conversion rates.

Lead Generation and Follow-Up

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns to generate new leads and inquiries.
  • Follow up on leads in a timely manner to nurture relationships and convert prospects into clients.
  • Analyze campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Work closely with the leadership team to ensure alignment on lead generation and conversion strategies.
  • Prepare monthly reports on marketing activities, lead status, and stakeholder engagement for management review.

Qualifications and Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing, with a focus on stakeholder engagement and lead generation.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems; experience with Salesforce is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working in civil society is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in tracking and reporting on marketing metrics.
  • Confident and independent to work alone, but also a team player.

Other:

  • Driver’s license and own vehicle is an advantage
  • Attend both Spaces in Mowbray and Franschhoek dependent on operational activities.
  • Ability to work independently
