Qualifications and Requirements

Qualifications

  • Ideally, a post-graduate qualification in fields such as social sciences, politics, gender studies, public administration, or related
  • Must be South African or have the right to work in South Africa (work permit)

Key Skills 

A blend of leadership, analytical, and communication skills, coupled with strong project management knowledge and experience. They should possess the ability to manage complex programmes, budgets, and resources effectively, while also driving strategic planning and change management. 

You probably have...

  • Experience of working in a non-profit organisation and / or community-based organisation
  • Exposure to grant making / development finance.
  • Experience of travelling across South Africa and other SADC countries
  • Must have held a leadership or senior management position for approximately 5 years.
  • Familiarity to at least some of the following thematic areas: access to justice, gender justice and women’s, leadership development and climate change and energy justice.
  • Ability to speak some African languages would be an advantage.
